Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

These placeholder terms govern use of HalalNative by merchants and their customers. A final version reviewed by counsel will replace them before HalalNative exits beta. Questions in the meantime: hello@halalnative.com.

The service

HalalNative provides subscription storefronts for halal food merchants. Merchants create a plan, customers subscribe, HalalNative processes payments via Stripe and passes net revenue to the merchant minus platform fees.

Fees

We charge 15% of subscription revenue. There are no setup fees or monthly fees. Stripe payment processing fees are separate and deducted from the gross charge per their schedule.

Merchant responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for preparing, packaging, and delivering food safely and on time; for honoring the subscription terms they configure; for food safety compliance in their jurisdiction; and for truthfully representing halal certification status.

Customer responsibilities

Customers agree to provide accurate delivery information, pay for their subscriptions on time, and treat merchants fairly. Abusive behavior is cause for termination.

Refunds and cancellations

Customers can cancel at any time from their account dashboard. Refunds for undelivered or unsatisfactory orders are handled by the merchant directly, subject to their stated policy. HalalNative will mediate disputes when reasonable.

Limitation of liability

HalalNative provides the platform "as is". We are not liable for merchant-side food safety, delivery delays outside our control, or Stripe outages. Our total liability is capped at the fees paid by the affected party in the preceding three months.
